Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a superstar who crossed over completely from the world of country music to pop culture and became the pop icon of the future that will endure forever, and sweeping over all of the world. Swift removed her roots in the country as if they were just a second skin revealing that she was perhaps the savviest populist singer/songwriter of her generation one that could tap into the zeitgeist make it personal and also perform the reverse. It was apparent in her early songs, particularly with regard to the neo pay homage of Tim McGraw. On her album Fearless (2008) Swift showed a songwriter getting to know her. Fearless went on to become a global hit, not only in the United States (where it received six times platinum for the Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") as well as in Canada Australia and the U.K. and many other countries. Swift could build on her popularity by releasing Speak Now almost two year later. The next three years, Swift's popularity grew -the albums - Red (2012), Reputation (2014), and 1989 (2014-2015) in 2014-2015 as she entered a new realm of pop with her skills already well-established. When she reduced her sound to the stripped-down versions of 2020, Folklore, and Evermore, she still remained on top. This position was maintained by re-recordings from her past catalogue as well as Midnights which was her chart-topping synth heavy 2022 album.
