Sheryl Underwood is an American television host, comedian and actor best known for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Sheryl was born in Arkansas and grew up in Little Rock, Atwater, and Atwater. Sheryl is the product of the midst of a difficult background. She spent most her childhood caring for her younger sibling Frankie. Frankie was a patient of polio. As a child, her relationships with her mother were rocky. Sheryl states that in the past, her mother would stab her father for becoming too close to her. Sheryl enlisted in the military upon her graduation from college. Sheryl's interest lay with comedy. She was the first female winner of the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. In 1992 she made her TV debut with regular appearances on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. She hosted the show in 2000. Oh Drama! Oh Drama! In 2011, she began appearing on The Talk as co-host. Also, she appears in fictional roles in shows like Bulworth Nikki, Bulworth or Beauty Shop.
