Amanda Blake

Amanda Blake (born Beverly Louise Neill) was a famous American actor. Her most well-known role was the one of Miss Kitty Russell on the TV program 'Gunsmoke.' Her other notable roles included the roles she played in shows on television like "The Red Skelton Show,' 'Tattletales,' and The Edge of Night. Also, she was a part of in dozens of other films like Stars In My Crown, Duchess of Idaho. Cattle Town. Crusoe,?"About Mrs. Leslie",?The Adventures of Hajjibaba and The Boost and The Boost?. Formerly a telephone operator, Blake was an avid animal fan. Together together with Frank Gilbert, she was the first person to breed successfully cheetahs captivity. She was a co-founder together with husband Frank Gilbert of Arizona Animal Welfare League. The actress was also a board member of Humane Society of the United States.
