A graduate of the University of San Diego, her past sportscasting experience includes assignments at MLB Network, New England Sports Network in Boston, Time Warner Cable SportsNet in Los Angeles, and two stations located in Fresno. Watney was a student at Clovis West High School, Fresno. There she participated in diving and hurdles. Watney is the sister of professional golfer Nick Watney.
